Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE)

Heather Rosoff is a research professor at the U.S. Homeland Security Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE). Her research focuses on using risk and decision analytic techniques to study the uncertainties surrounding terrorism. More specifically, her risk perception work assesses the public’s perceived risk of disaster events (terror and non-terror) and the influence this has on behavioral decision-making. She has developed several surveys to evaluate the perceived risk relationships across disaster characteristics and to predict public behavioral responses to an event, both immediately and in the long term.
