CREATE Co-Sponsors Trade Outlook 2020 Roundtable

CREATE and the USC Center for Global Supply Chain Management (CGSCM) sponsored the Trade Outlook 2020 Roundtable on behalf of the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency.

The event, held in Chicago on July 30th, brought together select government and industry executives with CBP officials to examine the future of global trade.

“The objective of the roundtable was to explore how these emerging trends and anticipated game changers will challenge existing strategic and operational planning across public and private sectors,” CREATE Director of Research Isaac Maya explained.  “The event featured meaningful dialogue among the academic, government and industry participants, and advanced efforts to establish and strengthen shared awareness of the global trade environment.”

Key CBP participants on panels and as moderators included Brenda Smith, Assistant Commissioner and Cynthia Whittenburg, Executive Director, CBP, Office of International Trade.
