CREATE welcomed members of the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program for a roundtable discussion on countering violent extremism (CVE). The group explored the underlying conditions that fuel extremism and discussed community based efforts that promote tolerance. The delegation was comprised of 11 visitors representing the South and Central Asia countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
