CREATE welcomed Dr. Reginald Brothers, Under Secretary for Science and Technology at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to USC.
Dr. Brothers met with Detlof von Winterfeldt, CREATE Director, Yannis Yortsos, Dean of the Viterbi School of Engineering and Jack Knott, Dean of the Sol Price School of Public Policy to discuss CREATE’s homeland security research.
He also met with CREATE researchers including Ali Abbas, William Burns, Richard John, Adam Rose, Heather Rosoff and Milind Tambe to discuss their current projects. Researchers Vicki Bier and Scott Farrow joined the meeting remotely.
Earlier the same day Dr. Brothers toured the Port of Long Beach where he was briefed on security operations by Randy Parsons, Director of Security Services.
