CREATE Welcomes Dr. Robert Griffin, Deputy Under Secretary for Science & Technology at the Department of Homeland Security

The Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE) welcomed Dr. Robert Griffin, Deputy Under Secretary for Science & Technology at the Department of Homeland  Security (DHS) on Thursday.

CREATE Director Professor Ali Abbas briefed Dr. Griffin on new initiatives at the Center.  Dr. Isaac Maya, Director of Research discussed CREATE’s research framework, immersion and work with  U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Dr. Erroll Southers, Director of Transition and Research Deployment, provided an overview of CREATE’s transition efforts and Foreign Fighters Project and  Professor Milind Tambe, Research Area Leader for Game Theory discussed the role of Game Theory in homeland security applications and the DARMS project.
