Randolph Hall presented CREATE’s research on May 28 to a visiting delegation representing “Advancing Security, A project for Indonesia." The group included 12 program leaders, representing governmental, university, and non-profit organizations focused on counterterrorism, security, and democracy. Hall’s presentation focused on emerging threats, including terrorism, international conflict, natural disasters, disease, and accidents. The United States is not alone in the desire to mitigate and reduce the threats to human livelihood. Beyond protecting against disasters and conflict, the group expressed concern for protecting individual freedoms and international cooperation for security and scholarship.
