CREATE is committed to fulfilling the USC Strategic Plan for Diversity and Inclusion in research, making diversity central to all aspects of our research, scholarship and education.
We have supported the DHS minority research program since its inception, hosting seven research teams from minority-serving institutions. We have funded follow-on work by three teams: Haskell for three additional years, and California State University, Long Beach and University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez each for one additional year.
Our research seeks to improve our understanding of how risks and threats differentially affect segments of society, informed through diverse perspectives and backgrounds of research participants and investigators.
